Jam-Pod is built around a simple idea: your music is yours. This policy explains, plainly, what information the app touches and what it doesn't.
The short version
- No account or sign-up is required to use Jam-Pod.
- We don't run analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs of any kind.
- Your library, settings, and theme preferences are stored only on your device.
- We don't operate a server that stores your personal data.
Apple Music
On iPhone, if you connect Apple Music, Jam-Pod uses Apple's MediaPlayer framework to let you browse and stream your library and catalog. This access happens directly between your device and Apple — Jam-Pod does not collect, transmit, or store your Apple Music data on any server we control. Your use of Apple Music is also governed by Apple's own privacy policy. Apple Music is not available in the Android edition.
Local files
Audio files you import (FLAC, WAV, AIFF, M4A, MP3) stay on your device. Jam-Pod never uploads your local library anywhere — playback happens entirely offline, on-device.
Podcasts
When you subscribe to a podcast by RSS feed URL, Jam-Pod fetches that feed directly from the address you provide — no intermediary server is involved.
When you search for podcasts inside the app, your search query is sent to the Podcast Index API to return matching shows. This is a third-party service; no other personal data accompanies that request. You can review Podcast Index's own privacy practices at podcastindex.org.
Settings and preferences
Theme, playback settings, and similar preferences are saved locally on your device using standard platform storage (iOS UserDefaults or Android SharedPreferences). They are never synced to a server we operate.
Children's privacy
Jam-Pod is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a future feature introduces a new third-party service — we'll update this page and revise the date above.
